A dirijat mari orchestre ca RSO şi RIAS – Berlin, Orchestra Radio Bavareza – München şi Filarmonica din Dresda, CBSO si Royal Philharmonic Orchestra – Liverpool, Filarmonica Ceha – Praga, Orchestra Simfonică Portugheză – Lisabona, Orchestra Nationale de Belgique – Bruxelles, Israel Philharmonic – Tel Aviv, Orchestra Simfonica din Göteborg, Orchestrele Filarmonicilor din Tokio, Helsinki, Monte Carlo, Sofia, Belgrad, Zagreb, etc.

• Laurentiu Dasca este medic, Vice-Presedinte al Asociatiei Elite Art Club UNESCO si promotor al unor proiecte internationale de anvergura, precum “Concursul International de Dirijat Jeunesses Musicales Bucuresti”, festivalul „Classics for Pleasure””, brandul muzical „PROMS of Delight”
• Din anul 1995, Laurentiu Dasca este membru al Orchestrei Medicilor din Bucuresti alaturi de cara a castigat in 2002 la Vatican premiul „Muzicisti fara Frontiere”
• In 2008, acesta a colaborat cu Vlad Mirita in vederea reprezentarii Romaniei la Concursul Muzical Eurovision din Belgrad, Serbia. A importat in Romania modelul Festivalului Imagine si a adus editia internationala a festivalului in Romania.
• Laurentiu Dasca este directorul orchestrei „Bucharest Symphonic Pops” si a colaborat in calitate de producator cu diverse institutii precum Fundatia Medicina si Muzica, Fundatia Shumsky, Maltese Cross Charity Gala, Gala ONU Romania, Filarmonica „George Enescu”

• Constantin Adrian Grigore a dirijat mari orchestre din Romania si din strainatate este dirijorul principal al Orchestrei Camerata Regala.
• In 2009 s-a aflat la pupitrul Bucharest Symphonic Pops, in concertul extraordinar sustinut de Al Bano si Montserrat Caballe in Piata Constitutiei din Bucuresti, in 2013 este ales dirijorul Evolution Orchestra in turneul sustinut de Steve Vai in Rusia, Polonia, Italia, Spania si Romania, iar in anul 2014 sustine un turneu de concerte in Coreea de Sud, la pupitrul Orchestrei Filarmonicii “Oltenia”.
• A colaborat cu solisti de renume ai scenei muzicale precum Florin Croitoru, Rebekka Hartmann, Nicolae Licaret, Teodor Ilincai, Cristian Mogosan, Irina Iordachescu, Sergi Gimenez Carreras, Katarzyna Dondalska, Natalia Konik, Wictor Kociuban, Piotr Banasic, Alessandro Safina sau Corul National de Camera Madrigal.

• Filarmonica „George Enescu” a fost fondata in 1868 si este poate cea mai reprezentativa institutie muzicala a Romaniei
• Dupa inaugurarea palatului Ateneului Roman, la 5 martie 1889, concertele au inceput sa se desfasoare in aceasta sala, Ateneul Roman devenind emblema culturii romanesti si sediu al Filarmonicii.
• Dupa caderea regimului comunist, Filarmonica „George Enescu” a recastigat din stralucirea de odinioara sub conducerea directorului general Cristian Mandeal si a directorului artistic Nicolae Licaret. In timpul mandatului dirijorului principal Cristian Mandeal (1991-2010), Orchestra Filarmonicii a realizat pe disc integrala lucrarilor simfonice de George Enescu si de Johannes Brahms.
• Pe langa concertele simfonice si camerale curente (aproximativ 300 anual), Filarmonica a inregistrat zeci de discuri LP si CD si a intreprins turnee de rasunet in Europa, Asia si Extremul Orient, castigandu-si astfel un binemeritat renume international.

• Elite Art Club UNESCO este o organizaţie non-guvernamentală nonprofit ce şi-a început activitatea în 2003 iar în 2010 a devenit unicul reprezentant în România al reţelei globale Jeunesses Musicales International – cea mai amplă organizaţie neguvernamentală din lume dedicată promovării tinerilor muzicieni.
• Organizaţia are ca scop promovarea principiilor fundamentale UNESCO iar Concursul International de Dirijat Jeunesses Musicales are deja o traditie de 8 ani.

Dan Dediu was born on March 16, 1967 in Braila, Romania. He graduated composition at the Music University in Bucharest (1989) and attended post-graduate courses at HMdK in Vienna (1990/91). Scholar- and Fellowships were offered by Alfred-Toepfer Foundation, Hamburg, Alban-Berg Foundation, Vienna, New Europe College, Bucharest, Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, Zuger Kulturstiftung Landis & Gyr, Switzerland, Bavarian Ministry for Culture, Germany. Among his teachers one could name the composers Ștefan Niculescu, Dan Constantinescu and Francis Burt. Guest Lecturer at Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland (1994), invited for the Summer Workshop in Computing for Composers, IRCAM, Paris (1994), Dediu was appointed artistic director of the New Music Festival in Bucharest “International Week of New Music” (1999, 2001, 2007, 2008, 2016 and 2017). Since 2003 he has led the Profil-Sinfonietta Bucharest, in the same year he started teaching composition at the Bucharest Conservatory and between 2008-2016 he chaired the National University of Music, Bucharest, as elected rector.

He received prizes and awards for composition in Vienna, London, Paris, Berlin, Budapest, Bucharest, Dresden, Ludwigshafen. His over 160 works are world-wide performed and produced on CDs by Albany Records, Cavalli, NEOS and Casa Radio.  “The music of Dan Dediu could be described as versatile, nervous, with a specific feature of dynamic restlessness. He works with forms, which consists every time in an alternation of good perceptible sonorities, pithy microuniverses.” (Lothar Knessl).

Elegia minacciosa (with Gnossienne-Mandala) is an orchestral miniature in five sections and emphasize an intense and paradoxical emotion: a threatening elegy. After melodic and rhythmical processes, a fragment of an imaginary gnossienne comes to the fore, floating sad in the ocean of sounds and bringing the naive and innocent color of piano. Then, we hear an unexpected event: from the back seats of the stalls section of the concert hall a pulse of the drum begins to beat, first like a heart, then growing monstrously and tragic, like a frightening silhouette. Through a strange smoky ”curtain” of the strings, the clarinet comes out like a mouse, and sends desperate calls together with the flute, using effects of differential sounds in the highest register. In vain. The three final chords cut off any hope, like a guillotine.

Dan Dediu

Octavian Alin Lup began his musical activity at the age of 7; he studied cello at the Music Highschool Sigismund Toduță from Cluj- Napoca first under the guidance of professor Râpă Gabriel and later with professor Todor Gabriela.

In 2010 he graduated from the National University of Music in Bucharest in the class of maestro Marin Cazacu and continued his studies at the Conservatoire national superieur de musique et de danse in Paris, where he was mentored by the famous cellists Roland Pidoux and Xavier Phillips. At the present he is a PhD student and an associate professor at the National University of Music in Bucharest. In 2012, Octavian embraced musical improvisation and represented the National University of Music of Bucharest in Hague, during an intensive 2 weeks training with the greatest experts in musical improvisation in the world. In 2012 and 2016 he was selected to participate as active member in the Kronberg Academy cello masterclass under the guidance of Frans Helmerson and Gary Hoffman.

He is a member of the cello quartet Cellisimo alongside the maestros: Marin Cazacu, Alexandra Guțiu and Răzvan Suma. He is also the principal cello player of the Royal Camerata orchestra and a member of the Romanian Youth Orchestra.

Recitals and concerts in Romania: Bucharest, Cluj, Timișoara, Târgu Mureș, Tulcea, Botoșani, Arad, Constanța, Brașov, Iași, Sibiu, Sinaia etc and in countries such as: Hungary, Spain, Morocco, Israel, Switzerland, Austria, France, Holland, Germany and Portugal.

He has sustained concerts as a soloist with philharmonics from Cluj, Arad, Botoșani, Iași, Râmnicu Vâlcea, Braşov, the Bucharest Radio Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Camerata. Simultaneously with his soloist and orchestra activities he develops an important pedagogic career both at the National University of Music of Bucharest and at the National Art College Dinu Lipatti. During his activity he has had the opportunity of performing under the baton of famous composers such as Kristian Jarvi, Cristian Mandeal, Lawrence Foster, Horia Andreescu, Christian Badea, Tiberiu Soare, and has collaborated with soloists such as Pinchas Zukerman, Sarah Chang, David Garret, Alexandru Tomescu, Marin Cazacu.

Among the prestigious musicians who have guided him one may mention: Marin Cazacu, Roland Pidoux, Xavier Phillips, Antoine Lederlin, Erkki Lahesmaa, Lazlo Fenyo, David Pia, Alvaro Huertas, Vladimir Mendhelsson, Krysztof Chorzelski, Axel Schacher, Frans Helmerson.

Among his numerous national and international prizes we may recall:

• First Prize and Grand Prize at all the national Olympics in which he participated in 2001-2007
• The winner of the national selection for the Eurovision Young Musicians, for the final in Luzern, Switzerland
• Winner of the grand prize at the international competition George Georgescu Tulcea
• Winner of the grand prize at the national competition W.A.Mozart Târgoviște
• Second prize winner at the international competition David Popper Hungary
• Grand prize winner at the national competition Paul Constantinescu Bucharest
• Grand prize winner at the national competition Mihail Jora Bucharest
• Semifinalist at the George Enescu competition 2014 and 2016.
